Address: Runnö Påskallavik
The island, which is 1,433 acres in size and almost entirely round, may have got its name from the Swedish words 'Rund Ö' which means 'Round Island'.
The nature is different from the rest of the nearby archipelago, both from a geologically and biotopically perspective. The houses on the island are assembled in two villages, Sörgården and Norrgården, on the western sie of the island. There is a village path that runs through the villages, which consist of a total of ten farms. There is no regular public transport to Runnö. There is, however, a guest jetty for visiting boats at Sörgården.
